Rev. William Herbert Johnson

Rev. William Herbert Johnson, 89, of Benson passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Randall's Chapel PFWB Church in Newton Grove. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Horace Johnson, Rev. Randy Carter and Dr. Zane Lapenski. Interment will follow in the Harnett Devotional Gardens in Dunn, NC. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 24, 2017 at the West & Dunn Funeral Home in Benson from 6 to 8 pm..

Survivors of Rev. Johnson include daughters, Judy J. Hudson of Knightdale; Linda J. Tadlock and Gerald of Clinton; Janice J. Dickens and Allan of Rocky Mount; Cathy Jo Hall and Donnie of Smithfield; Sons, Allen Johnson and wife Darnell of Pikeville; Timmy Johnson of Wilmington; grandchildren, Paul Hudson and Deena, Chris Reaves and Susanne, Roger Dickens and Jackie, Jamie Hoad and Ryan, Amy Hales and Keith, Amanda Johnson and Shawn, Great Grandchildren, Katelyn, Kendall, Allen, Zachery, Matthew, Paul, Alex, Austin, Landan, Chelsea, Joey, Georgie, Kenszie and Ashlyn.

Rev. Johnson is preceded in death by wife, Lois Mae Johnson, parents, Allen B. and Bertie B. Johnson, brother, Joseph A. Johnson, grand-daughter, infant baby Myers, Sons-in-law, Roy L. Hudson and Joe Exum

Rev. Johnson's favorite scripture was John 5:24 which says: Verily, Verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
