Norman Dunn
In 1996, Sam West and Norman Dunn became partners in the business which is presently known as West and Dunn Funeral Home, Inc. In 2011, Mr. Dunn purchased the remaining shares of stock and business from the West family. In 2014, Mr. Dunn expanded his services with the acquisition of Price Funeral Home in Erwin.
Norman committed his life to the service of others with compassion, dignity, and integrity. It is in this same spirit of compassionate service that the family and staff of West and Dunn Funeral Home, Inc. are committed in continuing to serve and care for the families of our communities.
H.S. "Sam" West
In 1958, Sam and Ianna West opened the first funeral home, in Newton Grove. In 1970, West Funeral Home moved from its original location to its present location on 503 Raleigh Street. In 1972, West Funeral Home expanded into the Benson area with the remodeling of one of the older homes on West Main Street. There, the company offered to the community the same professional and dignified services as the Newton Grove location. In 2002, Sam West passed away, and Ianna West, along with Norman Dunn continued on the business of serving others in their time of need.
