Obituary
Thomas "Tommy" Taylor, Jr., age 86, of Dunn, passed away Saturday, May 6, at Betsy Johnson Hospital. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. in Erwin Memorial Park Cemetery of Erwin.
Tommy served his country in the United States Army. Tommy worked and retired from Smith's Furniture in Dunn. Tommy was a wonderful musician who loved to sing. He enjoyed playing his guitar and playing with his band. His favorite instrument was a Fender guitar. He really enjoyed listening to Elvis.
Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, Tom Taylor and Stella Jackson Taylor; and nephew Jerry Wayne Autry.
He is survived by his Best Friend of 71 years, Jerry Autry, and wife Kay of Dunn; Nieces, Timi Jo Addison of Godwin, LaWanda Kay Autry of Godwin, Tina Autry Crane of Dunn; a great nephew, Dustin Ivey of Erwin; and a great-niece, Autri Parrish of Godwin; He is also survived by his Bandmembers: Terry Snipes, Don Ennis, and Larry Herring.
Tommy is loved and remembered by many friends.
