Sharon Ruth (Concordia) Barefoot

Ms. Sharon Ruth Barefoot, age 72 of Kinston, passed away at her residence on Sunday, April 23, 2023.

Sharon is proceeded in death by her husband, Mark, Barefoot of Four Oaks.

She is survived by her two sons, Ross and wife Tracy Zacharzuk of Goldsboro, and Steven Zacharzuk of Kinston, as well as her four sisters, and one brother Franki Evans, Francine Montis, Roxanne McEwan, Kim Campbell and Thomas LeBel all currently living in Canada. She also has 6 grandchildren Collin Zacharzuk, David Zacharzuk, Zachary Zacharzuk, Gage Zacharzuk, Colleena Zacharzuk and Mia Zacharzuk. In addition Sharon has many special nieces and nephews.

Sharon was born in Ottawa Canada to Rocco and Thelma Concordia. After relocating to Toronto, she married, and had two sons. While the two sons were young, they relocated to South Florida, where Sharon began her career working at a prestigious yacht club in yacht maintenance and care. Over the course of many years, Sharon made many lifelong friends. After years of travel and adventure, she finally settled in North Carolina to be with her two sons.

The graveside service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, at The Hills of The Neuse Memorial Gardens beginning at 3:00 P.M. 

A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 3:00-5:00 pm at West and Dunn Funeral Home in Newton Grove.
