Jean Haire

Jean Haire, 87, passed away Thursday morning March 23, 2023, at home surrounded by her family.

Jean was born November 22, 1935, in Robeson County to the late Elbert and Margie Britt.  She was also proceeded in death by her husband William Haire, daughter Deborah Perez, son Larry Haire, firstborn grandson Anthony Haire, sister Sue Huggins, and brother Charles Britt.

She is survived by daughters Connie Scott of Elizabethton, TN, Amanda Brackin of Wake Forest, NC, son William M Haire of Dunn, NC, grandchildren Danny (Shannon) Scott, Melanie (Chris) Hall, Matt Scott (Leanne), Jennifer (Robert) McLamb, Charita (Lamont) Allen, Janet (Issac) Murrel, Krista (Jason) Loew, and Michael (Christine) Will, 25 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, devoted companion Rose Adams, sisters Josie Dent, Ann Fikis, and Donna Carter, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved fur baby companion Buddy.

Pallbearers: Danny Scott, Chris Hall, Jason Russell, Jacob Birchfield, Michael Will, Anthony Allen and Hunter McLamb.

Jean was a loving mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed working in her yard, watching, talking, and feeding "her" birds year-round, tending to her flowers, and piddling around the house.  Her favorite television shows included true crime, cooking, and national news. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:30 Monday, March 27, 2023, at West and Dunn Funeral Home in Erwin, NC.  Visitation will be held prior to the service at 1:00 at the funeral home and other times at the home. Burial will follow services in Erwin Memorial Park, Erwin, NC.

We entrust our mother into your gracious care and look to you with faith and hope in everlasting life, to comfort us in our grief and pain.  God, our Comforter, our hearts are broken at our mother's passing from this life.  We take comfort that the last enemy to be defeated is death. Amen
