Ms. Grace Blackmon McLamb, 91 of Four Oaks passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020 at Johnston UNC Health Care in Smithfield. She was born on July 29, 1928 to Lester and Pauline Lee Blackmon in Johnston County, Blackmon's Crossroads Area, Four Oaks, NC. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Lees Chapel Advent Christian Church in Four Oaks. Officiating the service will be Rev. John Harper.
Survivors of Ms. McLamb include a daughter, Susan McLamb Thompson and husband Danny of Surf City, NC; son, O. L. "Lee" McLamb, Jr. and wife Cathie of Hillsborough; brother, Thomas Blackmon and wife Sadie of Bonita, Calif; grandchildren, Winifred Medlin and Jonathan Lee McLamb, great grandchildren, Hannah Grey Stancil and husand Brandon, Captain Justin Dunn (US Army) and wife Kendall, Vinson Medlin, great-great granddaughter, Zadie Ann Dunn, several nieces, nephews and step children.
Ms. McLamb was preceded in death by her parents; Lester and Pauline Blackmon, husband; Oswell L. McLamb, Sr.; granddaughter, Lisa H. Johnson, brother; Roby H. Blackmon, sisters; Margie Mae Blackmon, Vennie Hinnant, Norma Grey Blackmon, Marveline Lee and Hilda Worsham.
In order to stay in compliance with the Governor's executive order due to the coronavirus, the graveside service is limited to immediate family only.
