Franklin Anthony Benton, of Raleigh, NC, passed away at the age of 22 years old on Sunday, May 23, 2021. Though he left this world far too soon, he left this world a better place.
Franklin's funeral service will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021, at Life Point Community Church of Willow Springs beginning at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park of Raleigh, NC.
He is survived by his mother, Shayna Jeannette Benton-Wager, his father, Gerald DeWayne Wager Jr, his brother, Micah James Benton, three sisters, Jeannette Linden Elizabeth Wager, Ali Mai Wager, Skyra Bleu Wager. His half-brother Jared Louis Shannon. His maternal grandfather William Benton Sr. His paternal grandparents Gerald DeWayne Sr. and Elizabeth Gale Wager. His aunts and uncle, William Jr and wife Kelly, Jessica, Shanna, Judson and wife Christine. His cousins Kayla, Gabrielle, William III, Mikayla, Marcus, Kirsten, Daniel, Elijah, Sophia, Emberee, Trèveon, Novalee, Starr, and Romeo. His loving dog, Savage.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Cynthia New Benton. His great grandparents Charles Franklin and Jean Peavy New.
He was a loving brother, son, and friend to many. He had a passion for anything outdoors and nature such as fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with his dog and friends. He enjoyed cooking, which he learned from his mother. He was funny, outgoing, and creative. He was supportive and understanding of the Deaf community and family. He is deeply loved and will be missed by all.
