Eunice Lee (Avery) Davis

Ms. Eunice Lee Avery Davis, 86 of Erwin, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. Ms. Davis funeral service will  be held on Friday, May 22, 2020, beginning at 2:00 pm at St. Matthews PFWB Church of Erwin. Rev. Jerome Edwards will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Erwin Memorial Park Cemetery of Erwin, NC. 

Family will receive friends at West and Dunn Funeral Home of Erwin on Thursday, May 21, 2020, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Ms. Davis is survived by her daughter, Deborah Davis Priebe and husband Marty of Erwin, brother, Felton Ray Avery of Angier, sisters, Brenda and Larry Turlington of Coats, Betty and Earl Blackman of Dunn, Janice Avery of Dunn and Kay and Jerry Autry of Dunn, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gary and Jackie McLeod of Benson, special niece, Beth McLamb and husband Jeremy of Benson, several other nieces and nephews and other family and dear friends.

Ms. Davis is preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Davis, grandson, Jonathan Priebe, father, William Henley Avery, Mother, Katie Lee Langdon Avery, brothers, Bobby Sherrill Avery and James Avery, sisters, Syvonne Williams and Leola Barefoot. 

Ms. Davis was a retired cafeteria worker at Erwin High School and Erwin Elementary School. Ms. Davis also attended St. Matthews PFWB Church of Erwin.

Memorials may be made to Erwin Parks and Recreation in care of Priebe Field or the Ladies Auxiliary at St. Matthews PFWB Church of Erwin.
