Donald "Ray" West

Donald Ray West, 68, of Dunn, took his last breath at Betsy Johnson Hospital surrounded by his wife and two daughters on July 28, 2021 from a long fight with Covid Pneumonia. He will be forever loved and forever remembered.

A funeral service will be held at New Beginnings Worship Center in Dunn on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive family and friends at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.

Mr. West was predeceased by his parents, Clarence T. West and Kathryn Stewart. His siblings Lois Jernigan, Joyce Watkins, Jean Jernigan, Betty Strickland, Clayton West, Thomas West and a great grandchild Conner Hodges.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Carolyn West of Dunn, Daughter’s, Donna & Billy Freeman of Erwin, Melody & Stanley Jackson of Dunn. Sister Virginia Pope of Dunn, Stepchildren Michael & Sheila Wood of Dunn, Donnie & Sonya Wood of Dunn, Timmy & Debbie Wood of Dunn, Sheila & Glenn Johnson of Four Oaks. 21 grandchildren 4 of which were very dear to his heart (Kendall, Tater Baby, Khloe, Holly) and 25 great grandchildren.
