Altha Barefoot Obituary
Ms. Altha H. Barefoot, 89, of Newton Grove passed away Tuesday evening March 6th at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab Center. Ms. Barefoot's funeral service will be held Friday, March 9th at 11:00 at Unity Presbyterian Church in Newton Grove. The family will receive family and friends at the church from 10 till 11 a.m. just prior to the service. She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. The Rev. Cathy Mooney will officiate the service.
Ms. Barefoot is survived by her daughter Sonja Dunn and husband John of Newton Grove, grandchildren Robert Joyner and wife Brandy, Nicole Swanson and husband Andrew, Shane Westbrook and wife Cindi, Austin Westbrook and wife Linda and Alex Dunn. Son-in-Law Bob Westbrook of Newton Grove.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Osby and Ettie Lee Jones, husband Talmadge Barefoot and daughter Wanda "Bill" Westbrook.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Unity Presbyterian Church Building Fund 11551 NC Hwy 50 South Newton Grove, NC 28366.
