Verda P. Cotton

Verda P. Cotton, 93 of Mt. Olive passed away at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 23, 2019.  Ms. Cotton's funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Eureka Christian Church.    Rev. Frank Purvis will be officiating the service.  The family will receive friends after the funeral service on Thursday.  Ms. Cotton's graveside service will be held on Friday, April 26 at 11:00 am at Eureka Christian Church Cemetery.

Ms. Cotton's survivors include her daughters, Judy C. Sasser and husband Carlton of Grantham, Donna Cotton of Grantham and Cathy C. Best of Grantham; her sons, Jerry Cotton of Grantham and James Cotton of Grantham; a sister, Mabel Sutton of Mt. Olive; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a special friend and caregiver, Betty Lanier.

Ms. Cotton was proceeded in death by her husband, Nevern Cotton; an infant son, Curtis Cotton; her daughter, Betty Hinnant; sons-in-law, Joe Paul Best and Bobby Lee Hinnant; a sister, Evelyn Edwards and her brothers, Kenneth, Bobby and David Edward Pennington.
