Ms. Rachel Janice Pope Horne, 87 of Erwin, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Ms. Horne's memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Redemption Hill Church of Erwin beginning at 2:00 pm. Rev. Sean Bass will be officiating the service.
Family will receive friends following the memorial service at Redemption Hill Church on Sunday, August 18, 2019.
Ms. Horne is survived by her sons, Lt. Col. Barry Horne USAF(R) and Rebecca Horne of Cary, Captain M. Kent Horne USN (R) of Clayton, W.R. Randy Horne USN Veteran and Stephanie Horne of Dunn, grandchildren, Jillian H. Rhyner, Joshua Horne, Jarrett Horne, Sarah H. Hughes, Taylor Phillips, 7 great grandchildren, sister, Susie C. Byrd of Dunn, brother, Jerry Pope of Raleigh.
Ms. Horne is preceded in death by her parents, Atwood and Lila Pope, husband, Weldon R. Horne
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or 3 HC Hospice.
