Mr. Lloyd Alva Blackman Sr., 87, of Mack Lane Newton Grove, passed away Friday, February 09, 2018 with his family by his side. Mr. Blackman's graveside service will be Monday, February 12, 2018 at 2 p.m. in Hillcrest Cemetery with Military Rights. Mr. Blackman is survived by his wife Joyce Blackman of the home, his daughters Susan Ward of Smithfield, Carlar Joyce Blackman and Greg Evans of Durham, sons Lloyd Alva Blackman II and wife Cami of Missouri and Chadwick Lloyd Blackman and wife Lori Winston Salem. Brother David Blackman of Newton Grove and sister Brenda Adams and husband Bobby of Four Oaks, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mack Luther and Beulah King Blackman, daughter Teresa Lynn Blackman and brothers William and Luther Blackman and sister Stella Cotton, son-in-law, Ray Ward.
