John Franklin Conerly, Sr.

Mr. John F. Conerly, Sr., 66, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. His funeral service will be Thursday, Oct. 18th at Hopewell United Methodist Church, Newton Grove at 2:30 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Adam Brinkley and Rev. Dennis Sheppard. The family will receive family and friends from 1 till 2:30 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Mr. Conerly will be laid to rest in Hopewell UMC Cemetery. 

His survivors include his wife, Jean H. Conerly of the home; daughters, Carol Marsh and husband Michael of Hillard, Ohio, Becky Absher and husband Jeremy of Fuquay Varina; sons, John Franklin Conerly, Jr. and wife Mellisa of Fuquay Varina, David Conerly and wife Chrystal of Greenville; grandchildren, Zach, Ben, Jonah, Laura Clare, Brandon and Ashlyn; brothers, Michael Conerly and wife Sonia of Fuquay Varina; sister, Marci Johnson and husband Keith of Autryville. Also, left to cherish his memories are several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Mr. Conerly was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Byron and Mattie Moore Conerly, his natural father, Whitfield Pruitt; grandson John Mark Absher, granddaughter Conerly Morgan Absher; brothers, Bobby Conerly, Jr. and Stephen Conerly.
