Hugh Baker

Hugh Baker, 80, of Smithfield passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Baker's funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 2:30 pm.  The funeral will be at Lees Chapel Advent Christian Church in Four Oaks.  The Rev. John Harper and Rev. Brent Carpenter will be officiating the funeral.  The family will receive friends at the church on Monday, December 23 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm.  Mr. Baker will be laid to rest in the Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens in Smithfield.

Mr. Baker's survivors include his wife, Catherine Baker; his daughters, Pam Martinez and husband Vince of Smithfield, Susan Hockaday and husband Neil of Four Oaks and Cathy Baker of Smithfield; grandchildren, Maria Moore, David Martinez, Chase Martinez, Rebecca Hunt, Taylor Lee and Jackson Hockaday; a sister, Ann Russell of Benson; and a brother, Billy Baker in Oregon.

Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ellen Baker and several siblings.

The family requests that memorials may be made to Lees Chapel Advent Christian Church @ 4154 NC Hwy 96 South, Four Oaks NC 27524.
