Della Mae (Messer) Allen

Della Messer Allen, 78 of Benson passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield.  Ms. Allen's funeral service will be held on Friday, January 19, at 2:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at West & Dunn Funeral Home Chapel in Benson.  Bishop Dennis Smith will be  officiating the service.  Ms. Allen will be laid to rest in the Allen Family Cemetery in Benson.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 19, from 1 to 2 pm.

Ms. Allen survivors include a daughter, Brenda Allen of Benson; sons, Leland R. Allen, Sr of Benson, Ronnie W. Allen and wife Cathy of Four Oaks and Kenneth E. Allen and wife Cindy of Four Oaks; and twelve grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.  

Ms. Allen was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Rachel Messer; her husband, Franklin Roosevelt Allen; and a son, Jimmy W. Allen.
