Deborah Frances Wade

Deborah Frances Wade, 65, of Erwin, N.C., passed away on August 7th, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born on September 25, 1954, in Erwin, N.C., daughter of the late Leon and LaVerne Wade.  She graduated from Erwin High School in 1972.  Afterward, she completed a Fashion Design and Merchandising Program at Hardbarger’s Business College in Raleigh.  She then worked as a Sales Associate at Ivey’s Department Store in Raleigh for several years.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 12, at 11:00 am at Erwin Memorial Park with the Rev. Robbie O’Quinn officiating.

She is survived by her brother Jimmy Wade and sister-in-law Joyce Wade of Dunn, N.C., her beloved feline companion Dandy, and Joyce’s brother and wife, Ray and Joy Weeks of Dunn, N.C.

Although flowers are welcome, because of her love for animals, memorial contributions in Debbie’s memory can be made to The Humane Society of the United States, PO Box 96930, Washington, DC  20077-7229.

In light of the current restrictions due to the coronavirus, the family understands if you can’t join them for the service.  If you attend, please consider wearing a mask and observing social distancing.  Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.
