Zona Holland, 90, went to her Heavenly home on April 17, 2022. She was born on March 13, 1932 to the late Elmon and Nellie Baggett Tutor. Due to the unexpected death of her mother; she and her siblings were raised by other family members. Zona was blessed to be raised by an aunt and uncle; the late Clarence and Betty Parsons Tutor. She met and married the love of her life, the late Bobby Holland on January 7, 1949. Together, they raised a family while working side by side for 43 years until his death. Zona was very talented in so many ways and she used her talents for the benefit of all she knew in her community and her church. She was a wonderful cook and was always ready to supply a meal to anyone who needed it. She was a seamstress and she enjoyed making lap quilts for her friends who were housebound and for mother’s with new babies. Later in life she began to paint and created beautiful portraits. But her passion was working with flowers and working in her yard. She could make gorgeous arrangements, sometimes with nothing more than something she found on a ditch bank. Most importantly; she was a woman of great faith and shared that faith with everyone she could. She was a lifelong member of Oak Grove Church and was active in anything that was going on within the church. She decorated for special events, sang in the choir, was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and filled in anywhere she was needed. She lived a Christian life every day and was an example to everyone she came into contact with. She dearly loved all her friends and neighbors. Her family was her heart and she loved them with all her heart. Her legacy of love and service will live on through those friends and the family she has left behind. She is survived by her children: Larry Holland (Gail), Nell Butler(John), Brenda Scott(Tommy) Brothers: Don Tutor(Sandy) and George Tutor(Judy) Grandchildren: Jonathon Butler(Angie), Jennifer Warren(Charles), Robert Holland, and Amanda Evans(Tyonek) She was blessed with eight great grandchildren: Noah Warren, Jonah and Jenna Warren, Caleb Butler, Kassy and Landon Holland, Joshua Stroud, Tye Evans and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband; she was preceded in death by her siblings: Irene Lucas, Robert Tutor, Edward (Snookie) Tutor, Bobby Tutor, Jean Bass, Dorothy Poston and James Blackwell. The family would like to offer their sincere gratitude and thanks to the angels from Community Home Care & Hospice for the compassion, love, and care they have shown. It will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers; the family would ask that donations be made to the Oak Grove building fund in her honor. The mailing address is PO Box 389 Newton Grove NC 28366
