Willie June Dorman

Mr. Willie June Dorman, 84, of Erwin, NC, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at his home.

Willie was born on January 21, 1938, in Erwin, son of the late Thurman James and Vernie West Dorman.  He was preceded in death by his brothers Paul D. and Charles Duane Dorman.

Willie Dorman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother came from humble beginnings to become a successful businessman with the CT & T Company.  He was a man that loved his Savior, family, and country with his whole heart.  He loved to work in his yard and bass fish.  He will be missed by his family, but they know they will see him again one day.

A funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at 4:00 pm at Erwin United Methodist Church in Erwin with Reverend Won Namkoong officiating.  Visitation will take place from 2:00-3:45 pm at the church.  Entombment will follow at Erwin Memorial Park. 

Willie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Priscilla Kay Dorman; son, Stephen L. Dorman, and wife, Rhonda of Dunn; daughters, Felicia Kay Cooke and husband, Danny, of New Bern, and Tama June Portaro of Banner Elk; five grandchildren, Olivia Ross, Mary Catherine Ross, Caroline Cooke Peterson and husband Alex, Morgan Dorman, and Landon Dorman and one great-grandchild, Charlotte Cooke Peterson.

In lieu of sending flowers or "planting a tree", the family asks that memorial contributions can be made to Erwin United Methodist Church, 600 Denim Drive, Erwin, NC  28339.
