Sylvia Griffin Campbell

Sylvia  Griffin Jones Campbell, 79, of Benson, formerly of Raleigh, passed away early Saturday morning, December 21, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 29 at 2:00pm at the Dunn Funeral Home Chapel in Benson.  Pastor Daryl Cox will officiate.  Friends are invited to visit with the family following the service and afterwards at the home.   

Sylvia was born on July 20, 1945 in Durham County.  She was the daughter of William Sherrill and Ida Mavis Griffin of Raleigh.  She was a former member of Crossroads Church of Benson and a current member of Truth Fellowship Church of Benson..

She is survived by her sons; Rick Jones and wife, Debi of Angier and Scott Jones and wife, Casey of Willow Springs; grandchildren, Morgan Carrino, Ricky Jones, Allie Jones, Cam Jones,  and Brystol Jones; great granddaughter, Remy Carrino; sisters, Shirley Hicks of Willow Springs and Winnie Ciavarella of Deland, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Truth Fellowship Church of Benson, the American Cancer Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
