Ronald "Ronnie" Lee Morrison, Sr.

Mr. Ronnie Morrison, age 78, of Erwin, NC passed away Thursday, May 4th, at The Laurels of Chatham in Pittsboro, NC. A visitation will be held at West & Dunn Funeral Home of Erwin on Sunday, May 7, 2023, from 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM. A Graveside service will follow at Erwin Memorial Park. 

Ronnie was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors, cooking, and duck hunting on the coast. He was a Vietnam Veteran who served in both the Army and National Guard. Ronnie was a loving and giving father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and was loved by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. 

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents: Sam and Elsie Morrison. Brothers: Sammy Morrison and James Morrison. Grandson: Colton Morrison.

He is survived by his sons, Ronald Morrison, Jr, of Erwin, NC, and Trent Morrison of Clayton, NC. Daughter: Crystal Covington of Erwin, NC. Sister: Connie Norris of Erwin, NC. Grandchildren: Cody Morrison, Jacob Morrison, Hunter Morrison, Mason Morrison, Carlee Morrison, Autumn Henderson, and Kailey Henderson. As well as two great-grandchildren.
