Mr. Ricky David Avery Sr., 69 of Erwin, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at UNC Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Avery's memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Erwin Church of God beginning at 3:00 pm. Rev. Tim Cowan will be officiating.

Mr. Avery is survived by his wife, Dianna T. Avery, daughter, Leigh Glover and husband Jim of Dunn, son, Ricky David Avery Jr. or Erwin, grandchildren, Taylor Beasley and husband Joel, Cierra Glover, Madison Avery, Hayden Avery and Iyana Avery, great grandchildren, Jaxson, Savannah and Jace, sister, Dru Hartley and husband Willie, brother, Glenn Avery and wife Barbara. Mr. Avery is preceded in death by his parents, David and Lois Avery.
