Preston Shadrack Mayo

Preston Shadrack "Shad" Mayo, 39, of Four Oaks "Bentonville" passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022 at the home.  

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 20 at St. John's Pentecostal Holiness Church in Four Oaks at 12:00pm.  The family will receive friends one hour prior in the sanctuary.  Burial will follow in the Lee Family Cemetery, Bentonville, NC.

Shad was born October 1, 1982 in Johnston County to Preston Franklin and Sandra Lee Mayo.  He is survived by his wife, Meagan Montana Mayo; a daughter, Montana Sky Mayo; a sister, Amanda Nicole Mayo (partner Caitie); niece, Chloe of Trenton, NC and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul John and Annie Belle Lee of Four Oaks; paternal grandparents, R W "Tom" and Myrtle Johnson of Pine Level.

In his pastime, Shad loved fishing, hunting, and, best of all, pilfering for lost treasures. The best love he shared was with his daughter who will miss him dearly.
