Margaret “Maggie” Elliot Parrish, 95, of Benson went home to be with her Lord surrounded by loving family on Monday, May 27, 2024.
Ms. Maggie was born on January 20, 1929 in Harnett County to the late Frank Helen Elliott and Mary Brinkley Elliott.
She worked as a line worker at Westinghouse Electrical Products for many years. Her passion was music; she was an incredible singer with such a beautiful voice. She lent her voice to the Oakdale Ramblers for many years. Maggie enjoyed going out to dance. She loved to have a good time and wanted everyone else to have a good time too!
She is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Thomas Wilbert Parrish; daughter, Deborah Gregory; grandchildren, Landon Matthews and Tony Williams.
Ms. Maggie is survived and loved by her sons, Landis Parrish (Scarlett) and Hal Elliott (Esmond); grandchildren, Marla McDonald (John), Amanda Wiley, Patrick Matthews, David Williams, Candice Norris (Nick); great grandchildren, Meghan McDonald, Bethany McDonald, Madison Wiley, Carson Wiley, Caroline Norris and Jackson Norris; sister, Mary Sue Baker; and brother, Fred Elliott.
Ms. Maggie is also loved by her special and loving companion, John Parker.
She is also loved and cherished by many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM at West & Dunn Funeral Home of Benson, with a visitation to immediately follow.
