After a long illness, Lynda Sigmon Hayes,65, of Newton Grove, surrounded by her loving husband and three puppies she loved so much, went to her reward to be with Jesus Christ. She is now pain-free and basking in the glory of the light of God.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, November 17th at Mary's Chapel Baptist Church, Clinton, NC beginning at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Charles Ray Jernigan will officiate.
She was predeceased by parents, Hubert Calvin and Catherine Sharp Sigmon and a sister, Patricia Ann Sigmon.
Lynda was known for her caring heart and fantastic cooking, always supplying her family and friends with an endless array of many dishes, cakes, and pies. Her body was limited in what she could do, but the love and caring in her heart was boundless.
She is survived by her husband of ten years, Doug Hayes of the home; a stepdaughter, Heather Nunley (Michael) of Statesboro, GA, and two step-grandchildren, Kyrie and Killian. Sister, Paula Harris of Durham.
