Lydia A. Rodriguez

Lydia Alice Rodriguez, born March 6, 1938 in San Antino, Texas passed away in Rex Hospital, Raleigh North Carolina on December 23, 2025.

Her journey on this earth was marked by love, compassion, and unwavering Faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended but, for the way it was lived and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. 

Lydia is survived by her daughter Cynthia Ann Marcus, grandchildren: Bryan Nelms and wife Claudia, their son's Damian Elezondo, Brandon Nelms, Shannon Nelms and her daughter Rachel Nelms and her son, Jeremyah Young, great great grandson. Shannon's other daughters: Abigail Thompson, Cheyenne Locklear and Diamond Locklear. Grandson, Joshua Nelms. 

The family will have a memorial service on March 7, 2026, beginning at 3 p.m. at Gospel Tabernacle Church, 2105 West Cumberland St., Dunn, NC.

Pastor Danielle Maynor will officiate the service.
