Lloyd C. Turnage

Lloyd C. Turnage, 85, passed away on October 24, 2024 at Johnston UNC Health Care of Smithfield NC, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on March 30, 1939 to the late Floyd C. and Viola Mae Blackmon Turnage.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his wife, Margie S. Turnage, brothers, J.W. Turnage, Larry Turnage, Floyd L. Turnage, Kenneth Turnage and Danny Turnage; and a sister, Janice Wood.

He is survived by a daughter; Kathy Turnage of Dunn, NC; sons, Rayford Turnage (Elaine) of Dunn, Timmy Turnage (Kathy) of Dunn, Mark Turnage (Sherrie) of Benson; foster son, Donnie Mac Bass; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; sisters, Glenda Jackson of Benson, Patricia Stanley (Leo) of Four Oaks and Carolyn Allen of Four Oaks.

Visitation will be held at Dunn Funeral Home of Benson on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM and other times at the home of Lloyd Turnage.  A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the Dunn Funeral Home of Benson chapel. He will be laid to rest at Devotional Gardens Cemetery of Dunn.

Lloyd was known for being a caring, hardworking man who worked long days and nights.  He was the kind of person who would help anybody. He loved going to blue grass festivals, traveling, and fishing.

But most of all, he loved his family and he will be missed.
