Linwood “Fuzzy” Earl Lee, 81, of Four Oaks passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at the Fuquay-Varina Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Johnston County to the late Myrtle Hawkins Tart and William Littleton Lee on January 12, 1945. Fuzzy was also preceded in death by his brother, William Layton Lee; sister-in-law, Judy Lee, and his special friend, Christina H. Core-Ulrich.
He graduated from Four Oaks High School in 1964. Drafted into the United States Army on August 1965, he started his basic training at Fort Gordon, GA. He was a Vietnam Veteran and was in the 937th Engineer Group. From January 1967 to August 1967 he was stationed at the Naval Air Station in Key West, Florida. After serving in the Army, he started his career at Burlington Mills in Smithfield in 1968 to 1977. He then began his career at PGI Chicopee in 1998, of which he retired from on January 2, 2010.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Dunn Funeral Home in Benson. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Dunn Funeral Home of Benson. Fuzzy will be laid to rest at Blackman’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Four Oaks. Friends and Family will be gathering at the home of Laura Lee and Linda Adams 4782 NC HWY 96 South, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
He was survived and loved by his daughters, Tara Lee Bowden (Will) and Laura Elaine Lee; grandchildren, Lillian Bowden and Luke Bowden; brothers, Robert Glenn Lee and Sherwood Ray Lee (Johnnie); sisters, Betty Lee Norris, Shelby Jean Lee Jernigan, Teresa Lee Winstead (Edward) and step-children, Shanna Barefoot (Darrell), Shelley Bowman (Scott), Tommy Core (Michele) and Glenn Core, Jr. (Bridget); many family members and friends who loved him.
He enjoyed writing, dancing, and listening to country and gospel music.
