Linda Lou Fowler Jones, 62, of Benson, went home to be with her Lord and loved ones before her, on Friday, May 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at WakeMed of Raleigh.
She was born on October 20, 1962 in Johnston County to the late Edward Earl Fowler, Sr. & Janie Lou McLamb Fowler.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Conner Ryan Hodges and mother-in-law, Peggy Horne Jones.
She centered her entire life around caring for others, it did not matter who it was, family, friends, patients, or strangers, she took incredible care of everyone she knew needed it.
Linda received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from UNC Greensboro with an emphasis on specializing in Hospice Care and was a dedicated Registered Nurse for over forty years. She was a dedicated nurse who was always going beyond the call of duty for her patients. To know her was to love her, and you always remembered her kindness and compassion.
She was also a loving wife, mother, Mimi and sister! Her sisters were her best friends and her grandbabies were her life, she was a dedicated Mimi who loved and cared for each of her grandchildren.
She was loved dearly and will be missed greatly!
Linda is survived and loved by her beloved husband of forty years, Robert Jones, of the home; children, Heather Nicole Hall and husband Brandon, Megan Autumn Jones, and Jarrett Ryan Jones, all of Benson; step-daughter, Candace Elizabeth Arnold; grandchildren, Karleigh Sue Hodges, Jasper Brent Hodges, Nikolas James Hodges, Emma Arnold, Noah Arnold, Claire Arnold, Hannah Arnold, and Greta Arnold; Siblings, Ann Keen, Susan Fowler, Eddie Fowler and wife Susan, all of Benson.
She is also loved by nieces and nephews, Stephen, Ricky, Ericka, Haley, Olivia, Madelyn, Riley, Saylor, Claire, Birdie, Stewart, John, Colton, Tyler, Carey, Gracie, Jack and Will.
The family would like to give a special and heartfelt thank you to Dr. Michael Williford and the Staff of WakeMed MICU and STICU.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM. Officiating the service will be Rev. Glenn McCullen. She will be laid to rest at Erwin Memorial Park.
