Lartha Mae (Stanley) Wood

Ms. Lartha Stanley Wood, age 76 of Banner Elk Road, Benson, passed away at the SECU Hospice House, Smithfield. Her graveside service will be held Monday, July 11, 2022 beginning at 2 P.M. Dr. Ron Byrd will officiate the service. She will be laid to rest in Piney Grove PFWB Church Cemetery, Four Oaks, N.C. 

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter: Shelle Wilson and husband Donald of Benson, son: James Wood of Benson, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and seven step-great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents: James Preston (Doodle) and Ila Mae Stanley, husband: Bernard C. Wood, brother: Donzie Stanley and sisters: Dorothy Holmes and Dianne Dunn. 

No formal visitation will be held.
