Larry James Coleman

Larry James Coleman, 72, of Bunnlevel, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Wake Medical Hospital in Raleigh. He was born on August 31, 1951 and raised on the family farm in Harnett County where he also raised his children.

He is survived by his daughters; Tracy Autry (Wayne) of Lillington, and Crystal Coleman of Bunnlevel; and a son, Jamie Coleman (Lauren) of Erwin; seven grandsons, Braxton Barbour of Lillington, Drew Hall (Clarissa) of Lillington, Camden Coleman of Coats, Tanner Autry of Lillington, Dylan Coleman of Erwin, Wyatt Coleman of Erwin, and Jaxon Coleman of Erwin; a great grandson, Kash Hall of Lillington; and his significant other, Lynn Conatser.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, John William and Bertha Lee Strickland Coleman; a brother, Eugene Wicker; a son, Joseph Coleman; and a grandson, Dylan Barbour.

Larry loved being outdoors, whether he was farming, tending his garden, riding his tractor or golf cart, cooking a hog and having a pig picking, buying fireworks and setting them off on July Fourth holidays, or making candles.  On most any morning, one could find him having breakfast at Nina’s Grill in Bunnlevel. And he loved his two pups, Axel and Precious. He will be dearly missed.

A visitation will be held Sunday, June 9 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at West and Dunn Funeral Home, 904 Lucas St., Erwin, NC.
