Kathryn (Williams) Reynolds

Kathryn Williams Reynolds, 89, passed away on January 26, 2026, in Greensboro, NC. Kathryn was born on March 21, 1936, in Sampson County, NC to parents Arthur Carouth Williams and Neta Mae Daughtry Williams.

Kathryn graduated from UNC-Greensboro and then obtained her master’s degree from East Carolina College. She taught elementary school starting in Virginia and then returned to North Carolina where she retired from Hampton Elementary School.

Kathryn was a member of West Market Street United Methodist Church. Kathryn is predeceased by her parents Arthur and Neta Mae, husband, Lawrence B Reynolds and her sister, Faye Williams and their memories will live on in the hearts of her family. Her love, guidance, and knowledge instilled in her students have left an indelible mark in their lives. Kathryn is survived by her two sons Richard Carouth Reynolds of Durham and Randy Lawrence Reynolds and wife Tonya of Greensboro, granddaughter, Sophia Elizabeth Reynolds and sister, Drue Trotter of Asheboro, along with a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, January 30, 2026, 2:00 pm at Newton Grove Methodist Church in Newton Grove, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church starting at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Newton Grove, NC.
