Joseph "Alan" Harvey passed away on November 12, 2025 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, NC.
Alan was a man of laughter. His jokes and humorous personality would leave you in tears from laughing. He enjoyed quiet mornings and evenings porch sitting, bird watching, and taking care of his dogs. He found peace in fishing and hunting with his beloved son Nash. He also enjoyed playing rounds of golf with Pat and his sister Lisa and playing card games with family. He liked dancing and listening to country and classic rock, as well as eating a good home cooked meal. Alan was a builder by trade and took pride in his construction skills. His grandchildren Kya, Gunnar, and Jasper brought joy to his life!
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Pleasant Union Christian Church (1920 Mt. Olive Hwy, Newton Grove, NC, 28366) at 3:00 PM.
He was preceded by his parents Joseph "Joe" and Alma "Boots" Harvey.
He leaves behind his lifetime companion Patricia Pelt of Goldsboro, his children Nash and Tiffany Harvey of St. Pauls, step children Jason Bordeaux of Goldsboro and Jennifer Bordeaux of Raleigh, two sisters Lisa Harvey of Fayetteville and Annette Patterson and husband Billy of Grays Creek, many nieces and nephews, three grandchildren as well as three additional step grandchildren and a wealth of extended family members.
