JoAnne (Phillips) Lovick

JoAnne Phillips Lovick, 75, of Falcon, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 19, 2025.
She was born on August 23, 1950, in Cumberland County to the late Joseph Jasper Phillips and Lillie Catherine Phillips.

She is also preceded in death by, a brother, Joe Phillips; sisters, Cathy Phillips and Martha Gunkel; a sister-in-law, Teresa Phillips; nephew, Harold Gunkel II; and great-nephew, Adam Gunkel.

The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Wade Baptist Church (7242 Main Street, Wade, NC 28395). A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 6:00 PM.

 
JoAnne was well known for her strong work ethic and dedication. She worked for many years at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville until her retirement, and later began a second career at ARC3, where she worked for 16 plus years. Her commitment and reliability were evident in all that she did.

She is loved and survived by her husband of 56 years, Larry Lovick; son, Brandon Lovick (Christy); grandchildren, Mary Catherine Lovick, Elizabeth Lovick, Luke Lovick and Nate Lovick.

JoAnne loved her family deeply and was devoted to her faith. She enjoyed taking life at an easy pace and cherished time spent with her loved ones. She loved her husband and kept him straight, took great pride in her son and daughter-in-law, and adored her grandchildren.

JoAnne will be remembered for her faith, hard work, and unwavering love for her family and she will be greatly missed.
