Janice Allen Massengill

Mrs. Janice Allen Massengill, age 84, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023, at WakeMed in Raleigh.  A funeral service will be held at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 11:00 am.  Rev. Joe Brown will be officiating.  The family will be receiving friends at the church from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday before the funeral service. Interment will follow in the Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery.      

Mrs. Massengill’s survivors include her daughter: Debbie M. Barbour and husband Dean of Benson and a sister: Jeanette A. Johnson of Benson.  She was preceded in death by her husband: James Dailey Massengill,  parents:  Ransom and Ina T. Allen, her sisters: Cara Lee Strickland and Margaret Allen, and by her brother: Eulas P. Allen.

Mrs. Massengill retired from Dorothea Dix Hospital in Raleigh as a Ward Clerk.
