Janet M. Moss
July 31, 1932 - January 26, 2023
She was born in a small cotton mill town.
Lived in a house that looked like every house around.
She grew up happy in her life,
Dreamed of growing up and
Improving on her life.
She met a young man while walking to town,
Fred L. Jones was his name.
They dated and dated and then decided
To tie the knot.
Without telling no one they eloped.
Fred joined the army and Janet became a military wife.
Life was great, life was fun then came number 1 (Ronnie) then number 2 (David also known as Mickey), then number 3 (Carol), and last but not least number 4 (Kathy)
Fred managed an Army career
Janet managed 4 children.
We four kids never lacked love, care, clothes, food
guidance, discipline, support.
We kids loved our mom and dad.
The best parents any kid could have.
We lost our dad, now we have lost our mom.
But we carry with us their love for us, great and wonderful memories
Of times together, joys and holidays shared.
Janet was 90 years old at her passing. Her beloved husband, Fred L. Jones, Sgt. First Class-Retired, passed before her.
