Kathy Jane Wrench Westbrook, 73, of Dunn, NC passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024.
Jane was born December 3, 1950 to her parents Hubert Everette and Lilma Mae Hardison Wrench. She graduated from Midway High School, Class of 1969. She retired from Morganite/ECS after 33 years of service. She became a Certified Nursing Assistant, getting her certificate from Sampson Community College and became a caregiver.
Jane always had a hug and a smile for everyone, her heart was golden. She loved her family, friends, and her church. Jane’s little granddaughter, Lyla, was her world. She played the piano for Crestview Baptist Church and also taught the Sunday School Youth Group. She loved all the little children there.
She adored her husband, James, and spent her days by his side. They loved to work in their garden together. During the summer months, you would find Jane growing food to give to her family, friends, and neighbors. She also loved to talk on the phone with her family and friends, whom all held a special place in her heart.
Jane is survived by her husband, James Everette Westbrook; daughter, Kristi Watson (Rex); granddaughters, Brittany Baggett (Nick) and Summer Watson; one precious great granddaughter, Lyla Baggett; sister, Lynette Smith (Willard); brother, Keith Wrench (LaDene); and many nieces and nephews that she loved as her own.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Lilma Wrench; nephews Jeremy Smith and Lucas Dienhart.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 28 from 10:00-11:00am at Crestview Baptist Church, 1001 Plainview Hwy., Dunn, NC. Funeral service will follow at 11:00am. Burial will be in the Godwin Family Cemetery, off Hwy 242, Spiveys Corner, NC
