James Lee Obituary

James Robert Lee, 71, of Dunn passed away in the early morning hours on Saturday, February 22, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

James was born on October 3, 1953 to the late Michael Milton Lee and Sudie Catherine Lee.

He was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life and held a great love for fishing, hunting, cars and golfing. He loved to eat fried chicken and homemade fries. He loved to talk and going to the country club. You could find him sitting on the front porch watching the sky as the thunder rolled in. However, nothing could compare to the amount of love he had for his wife, child, and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Mrs. Sue Lee. She was the light that sparkled in his eyes, and once she passed, his light went with with her.

He is also preceded in death by his brother, David Lee and sister Linda Williams.

James is survived and loved by his daughter, Lakesia Robinson (Courtney) of Dunn; grandchildren, Chris Vazquez (CJ) of Dunn, Regina Vazquez of Dunn, and Gracie Vazquez of Dunn; great grandchildren, Nevaeh Vazquez, Heaven Vazquez and Jaxson Vazquez; sisters, Sara Rossi (Dan) of Walkerton and Diane Barefoot of Dunn; brothers, Mike Lee (Mieko) of Eastbend, Jerry Lee (Karen) of Benson, Stebo Lee (Monette) of Benson, Charlie Lee of Mebane, and Joe Lee of Dunn; aunt, Phoebe Bass of Newton Grove; a special nephew, Allen West, and a lifetime friend, Alton Johnson (Shelby) of Dunn.

He is also loved by many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
He was also loved by a special pet, Baby.
