James Clifton "Buddy" Dudley

James Clifton “Buddy” Dudley, age 70, was called home on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 at his residence. Buddy was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and uncle.  He had a playful spirit bringing laughter to others. He loved spending time with his family and brought joy to all who knew him.

Buddy is survived by his loving wife, Connie Hayes Dudley, his son James Eric Dudley, sister Vanessa Hall and husband Elton, sister Darlene Byrd, brother Tony Dudley, brother Mickey Dudley and wife Donna, and step-grandchild Michael Moore, and great grandchild Jessie Moore, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold C. Dudley and Melba Allene Dudley and step-daughter Tammy Godwin. 

Buddy will be remembered for the laughter he brought to many and his light hearted spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 5th, 2024 at Dunn Funeral Home of Benson from 1:00-2:00 pm. A graveside service to honor and celebrate the life of Buddy will be held at Unity Presbyterian Church located at 11551 NC-50, Newton Grove NC 28366 at 2:30 pm on Thursday, September 5th, 2024 with Ronnie and Betty Rose Jones officiating.
