Holt J. Cannady

Holt J. Cannady, 88, of Coats passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020, at Rex Hospital surrounded by his family.  Mr. Cannady's funeral service on Monday, October 19, 2020, at 2:00 pm in the West & Dunn Funeral Home Chapel in Erwin.  The Rev. Neil Thornton will be officiating the service.  Mr. Cannady will be laid to rest at Devotional Gardens of Dunn.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Cannady's survivors include his wife, Christine Butler Jones Cannady; sons, William H. Cannady and wife Vicki of Cameron, Jeffrey O. Cannady of Olivia and Robin Alan Jones and wife Jeanie of Erwin; daughters, Jeanne Lynne Anderson of Sanford and Susan Cannady Cooper and husband J.D. of Olivia; stepdaughter, Cathy J. Marlor and husband Mike of Concord; Fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Mr. Cannady's pallbearers will be Matthew Wood, Joshua Wood, Tyler Jones, Derek Cannnady, Lucas Cannady, and Logan Wood.

Mr. Cannady was retired from the US Air Force and was an independent electrical contractor.  He was a lifetime member of the Air Force Sergeant’s Association and a member of the American Legion Post 109.
