Helen (Holland) Godwin

 Ms. Helen Holland Godwin, 86, of Clinton, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Southwood Nursing and Rehab Center, Clinton, NC.

Her funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 3:00pm at Mary’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2311 Keener Rd, Clinton. Visitation will be at 2:00-3:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Cemetery in Newton Grove.

Helen was the daughter of the late William and Daisy King Holland. She was born on January 29, 1937. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bertus Godwin, her daughter, Sharon Godwin Nanagas, her son, William Douglas Godwin, a brother, Billy Holland, and a sister, Peggy McKenzie.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Godwin King, with her husband, Roy, and son-in-law, Jeff Nanagas, with his wife, Jean. Helen was blessed with 4 grandchildren whom she loved and cherished. She had 2 grandsons, Justin Nanagas, and Sean Nanagas with his wife, Virginia, and 2 granddaughters, Cassidy King & Ashlyn King.
