Geraldine (Lee) Thornton

Geraldine Thornton, 88, of Benson passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 surrounded by her family.  Ms. Thornton's graveside service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 4:00 pm.  The service will be at the Burnell Baptist Church Cemetery in Four Oaks with the Rev. Jesse Brock officiating.

** Ms. Thornton will lay in state at the funeral home on Monday from 12pm to 2pm the family will not be present during this time**

Ms. Thornton's survivors include her children, Charlotte Lee and husband Randy of Benson, Jennifer Johnson of Benson, Deborah Cobb of Four Oaks and Frankie Thornton of Benson; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; her sisters, Shirley Adams and husband J.C. of Raleigh, Frances Mason and husband Marshall of Raleigh, Alma Lee McLamb and husband Ray of Four Oaks; and a brother, Bobby Wayne Dunn of Four Oaks.

Ms. Thornton was preceded in death by: her parents, Monroe and Ruby Lee; her husband, Frank W. Thornton, Jr.; a brother, James Earl Lee; and a sister, Mattie Pearl Lee.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Burnell Baptist Church Building Fund.
