George Carr Elderbaum

George Carr Elderbaum, age 77, of Erwin, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at his home.

He was born on August 21, 1948 in Harnett County, NC to the late Bertha Carr and Gilbert Elderbaum.

George is also preceded in death by his brothers, G. L. Elderbaum and Bob Elderbaum. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Elderbaum; brother-in-law, William (Linda) of Clayton, sister-in-law, Marie of Cary, and several cousins.

George loved gardening, cooking, and interior design.  He was especially interested in genealogy.

He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at the Greenwood Cemetery of Dunn.
