Elbert Thornton Obituary

Elbert F. Thornton, age 65 of Dunn, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at UNC Johnston Healthcare, Smithfield. His graveside service will be held Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Unity Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Newton Grove. Lay Minister Rebecca O'Dell will officiate the service.

Left to cherish his memories are his sister; Frankie T. Barnes of Benson, brother; Charlie H. Barefoot and wife Debbie of Clayton and one grandson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Elbert F. and Louester Thornton and brothers; Chandler R. Barefoot and Raeford Barefoot and sister, Thedia Hudson.

Due to the current health concerns the family understands if you are not able to join them for the graveside service. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.
