Edward Earl (Tink) Sutton Obituary
Tink Sutton , 89, of Newton Grove , passed peacefully at his home on Friday morning, April 24, 2026, surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodney and Ophelia Strickland Sutton; his son, Linwood Earl Sutton; brothers Horace Sutton, Rodney Sutton, Jr. and Elbert Sutton.
Tink is survived by his wife of 64 years, Edna Earl Sutton; daughter, LaBreeska Darden, husband Jonathan Darden, granddaughters; Mackenzie and Amberlie; Daughter-in-law, Charmane Sutton; granddaughter Amy Johnson, husband AJ Johnson and children Aaron, Alyssa and Ashlyn; grandson Lance Sutton, wife Carrie Sutton and children Olivia, Naomi and Kyle. Brother, Ralph Sutton, wife Joan. Numerous nieces & nephews.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 27th from 12:00-1:00pm at Dunn Funeral Home in Newton Grove. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm. Burial service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery immediately following.
Tink was a long time resident of Newton Grove. He poured his heart and soul into everything he did in life. Over the years he has worked with Architect Precast, operated R&E construction with his brother Ralph, operated his own trucking company, run the IGA in Newton Grove, worked building bridges with Crowder construction, & worked with Sherrill Williams .
