Doris Lee McLamb

Doris Lee McLamb, 75, of Coats, NC, passed away Friday night, December 8th surrounded by her loved ones.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Flynn Lee and Dorothy Godwin Pope; her brother, Flynn Lee Jr.; her sisters, Barbara Horne, Debra Gillespie, and Wanda McLeod. 

She is survived by her sister, Pamela Pope Elliott; two daughters, Tammy McLamb of Coats, NC and Lisa Kelsey (Darryl) of Stedman, NC; two granddaughters, Amanda Stewart (Zachary) of Fayetteville, NC and Katlyn Naylor of Fayetteville, NC; one great grandson, Waylon Cole Stewart; and many nieces and nephews.

Doris worked at Fayetteville Manufacturing of Fayetteville, NC as a Quality Control Supervisor for over twenty years.  She later worked at Morganite Inc. in Dunn, NC until her retirement.

She had a gift for sewing and being a caretaker for her loved ones.  She loved going to the beach and mountains but most of all, spending time with loved ones, especially her great grandson Waylon.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 12th from 1:00-2:00pm at West and Dunn Funeral Home in Erwin.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Joan Jackson officiating, also at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove PFWB Church cemetery of Dunn, NC located at 290 Red Hill Church Road.
