Dennis Avery Obituary
Mr. Dennis Wade Avery, 57 of Erwin, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at New Hanover Hospital of Wilmington. A funeral service to honor Dennis's memory will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Erwin Church of God beginning at 2:30 pm. Rev. Timothy Cowan, Rev. Joan Jackson, and Rev. Ray Rogers will be officiating. Interment will follow at Erwin Memorial Park of Erwin.
The family will receive friends at Erwin Church of God from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Saturday, October 16, 2021.
Dennis is survived by his sons, Joel Wade Avery and Luke Conner Avery of Erwin, beloved dog, Sadie, parents, Norman and Sandra Avery of Erwin, sister, Kim Avery Rogers and husband Rev. Ray Rogers of Erwin, niece, Brooke Hensley and husband Christian of Latta, SC, great-nephew~ Huck Hensley of Latta, SC.
Dennis is preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Vernell Avery and Odis and Rachel Wade.
Due to NC COVID Law and mandates, masks and social distancing are to be practiced during all services.
