David Wayne Sills

David Wayne Sills, 55, of Erwin, passed away early Monday morning, July 17, 2023 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, surrounded by his family.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Jennifer Edwards Sills; daughters, Amber Wright of Dunn and Felicia Shaw (Nick) of Alabama; a brother, Steven Sills of Dunn; a step-son, Christian "Cross" Williams; a step-daughter, Brittany Nicole Bullard; a step-father, Carl Hair; a step-brother, Jay Hair; grandsons Kayden Wright and A.J. Shaw; granddaughters Makayla Beard and Amiyah Boykins, Taylor Shaw, Brooke Shaw, and Ava Shaw.

He is preceeded in death by his parents, Truman Sills and JoAnn Faircloth Hair; also, a step-sister, Wendy Hair Jones.

Wayne worked various jobs but mostly in Heating and Air Conditioning and as a carpenter/plumber.  He was a handyman that could do most anything.  He loved to build things and he especially loved being outdoors, enjoying the river or fishing.

A visitation will be held at West and Dunn Funeral Home of Erwin on Friday, July 21 from 6:00-8:00pm
