David Carroll Knowles, Jr.

David C. Knowles, age 42 of Goldsboro, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021. His funeral service will be held Sunday, May 16th at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of West & Dunn Funeral Home, Newton Grove. Officiating will be the Rev. Terri Graham. The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home from 1 till 3 p.m. prior to the funeral service and other times at the home of Judy Smith, Newton Grove. 

Left to cherish his memories are his wife: Melissa W. Knowles of the home, children; Matthew Carroll Knowles, Tyler Gibson, Savannah Gibson and Alexis Gibson. His siblings; Michael "Slim" Knowles of Grantham, Taylor Pate of Goldsboro, Elizabeth Strickland and Ethan of Clinton, Shannon Smith and Joe of Clinton and Michael Taylor and Charlene of Dublin. Extended family; Judy Smith of Newton Grove, Linda Westbrook and Austin of Newton Grove and Charles Knowles and Wendy of Newton Grove. Grandfather; James Carroll Knowles. Step Mother; Frances Knowles, special cousin; Kathy West and Kenny. Best Friend and cousins; Shaun and Christina Andrews and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. 

David was preceded in death by his parents; David Carroll Knowles and Ethel Mae Talton and parental grandmother; "Ma' Anna Lou Knowles.
