Obituary

Charles Edward Driggers of Linden passed away at his home on Saturday, May 20, 2023.  He was born in Marlboro County, SC on July 28, 1946 to the late Lonnie and Beatrice Driggers.

Charles was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and James of Linden; one sister, Peggy Hair, also of Linden. 

Charles was a diesel truck mechanic for Smith International and retired with forty plus years of service. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Charles is survived by his wife Doris "Penny" Driggers; a daughter, Vickie Fish and husband Charles; a son, David Driggers; a brother, Jimmie Driggers, Sr.; and granddaughter, Amber Fish, all of Linden.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, may 24, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Palestine Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Linden.  Rev. Donald Fisher and Rev. Joan Jackson will be the celebrants.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, memphis, TN 38105.
